Cape Point Nature Reserve is situated on Cape Point Rd in the Cape Peninsula.

The Nature reserve is biker friendly and is a must visit as it has some of the best scenic views and is also home of the most South-Western Point of the African continent.

Some of the attractions on offer include:

  • Fynbos vegetation.
  • Walks, hiking trails and picnic sites.
  • Tidal pools at Bordjiesrif and Buffels Bay (to the West).
  • Game, bird and whale watching.
  • Historical monuments and buildings scattered throughout the reserve.
  • Shipwrecks.
  • The old lighthouse.
  • Flying Dutchman Funicular.
  • Global Atmosphere Watch Station.
  • Most South-Westerly point of Africa.
  • Cape Point Lighthouse.
  • Curio Shop.
  • Two Oceans Restaurant.
  • and more.

On our visit we were fortunate enough to have some ostriches running next to us while we were riding.

Just a tip – Make sure to set out enough time to properly explore the nature reserve when you visit as there is lots to see and it does take some time to travel to all of the scenic viewpoints.
